This year’s #ViennaMajor’s success served to prove the fact that beach volleyball has a secure place on the Danube Island. The minute the golden confetti burst down on to the Red Bull Beach Arena sand, and the champagne showers concluded, everyone’s first thought was how long until we return to the island?

Both fans and players alike who attended the five star, walked away having had the experience of a lifetime, making lifelong friends and memories that will be forever cherished. Beach volleyball at the highest level.

But putting together an event of this scale involves loads of helping hands, and our volunteers, all 171 of them, were the secret behind the events success.

Every person in a green or blue shirt that smiled at you, helped you find your way, welcomed you to the event, answered your questions, gave you a behind-the-scenes look into the event, stood in the sun for hours, kept score, helped in organization, and kept the match balls are the real heroes of the event. And WE know this!

So on behalf of the Beach Volleyball Major Series team, we’d like to say a huge THANK YOU! You guys are incredible!!!
