Hannes Jagerhofer once again awarded for his exceptional event organization

For the second time the who’s who of the Austrian Events scene gathered in the Congress Center at the Casino Baden, Baden in Austria to award the best of Austria’s event organizers.

Accepting the awards were five outstanding personalities; charismatic avantgardists and successful managers in the fields of art, culture, tourism, sports and economics: Hannes Jagerhofer (event-mastermind), Ilse Dippmann (1. Austrian Women’s Run), Harry Kopietz (Music Festival: Donauinselfest),  Hubert Neuper (Kulm) and Harald Serafin (Music Festival: Seefestspiele Mörbisch).

The quintet all contributed an extraordinary amount of ambition and spirit towards the development of live marketing and therefore helped increase Austria’s economic growth.

Visionary explorer, innovator, author and avantgardist

The evening paid particular tribute to the outstanding Swatch Major Series founder and organizer Hannes Jagerhofer, who is a big player in the event scene. According to the Event Marketing Board Austria (emba): “Hannes is always a step ahead and on the search for new challenges. All of his events have become legendary and his beach volleyball series especially, is a great success story and truly proves his talent to organize major events.”

He is also an innovator, entrepreneur, author and a successful businessman, who is established in the Austrian event and live marketing scene. The awarding of the Austrian Event Hall of Fame completes his collection of many more awards. For instance the prize of the tourism board of Istria for the organisation of the Poreč Major beach volleyball tournament, the Silver Cross of the Fédération International de Volleyball – an award that only has been handed out three times – and the gold medal of the city of Klagenfurt for his achievements in organizing and promoting the legendary beach volleyball tournament at Wörthersee.

Live Marketing is the engine of economy

The Austrian Hall of Fame was founded by the emba, a board of Austria’s leading event and live marketing agencies. Head of emba, Martin Brezovich, said: “There are people who set milestones with their work and influence the development of the scene. Creating events with big importance to the culture, sports and tourism as well for economic development in general. Live marketing is more than a successful event, it is also a marketing tool to improve and inspire the economy.”
