Thank you Klagenfurt! Once again you’ve proven to be the mother of all beach volleyball tournaments.

We can barely believe that the week has passed and that the winners have been crowned – it only seems like yesterday we began building the Center Court yet now we’re taking it down *insert sad emoji*.

The stars of beach volleyball came here for the ideal preparation for the Copacabana and some have left with medals around their necks and our congratulations go to our 12 medalists.

But what would we be without the people? The real stars – the volunteers and the fans, who helped make the A1 Major Klagenfurt the craziest yet friendliest spectacle in the world of beach volleyball.

To the volunteers – you know who you are – stand up and take a bow. THANK YOU!

And to the thousands of fans, the army of beach boys and girls, you partied in the stands and sung all day and kept the noise up until the sun went down (and then came back up again!).

All in all it goes without saying…there is nothing quite like Klagenfurt!
