World Champions Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan maintained their red-hot form by stunning Tanja Hüberli and Nina Betschart to earn their place in the A1 Major Vienna presented by Swatch semi-finals.
In a repeat of the World Championship semi-final, the Canadians were in no mood to mess about on side court 2 against their Swiss counterparts as they stormed to a 21-7 first set triumph.
And although Nina Tanja and Nina found their game in the second set, they were powerless to prevent a 21-17 reverse.
For the Melissa and Sarah it is their second appearance in a Vienna final four, having reached the same stage two years ago only to finish four at the World Championships.
The pair now face Agatha Bednarczuk and Duda Lisboa after the Brazilians ended the valiant hopes of Germans Laura Ludwig and Maggie Kozuch on the Red Bull Beach Arena.
Agatha and Duda edged a close first set, but Ludwig, making her first appearance in Vienna since taking the world title in 2017, and Kozuch rallied to take the second set and force a tiebreak.
Sadly that was as good as it got for Laura and Maggie, as the Brazilians took the decider to earn a successive semi-finals and the duo are now aiming for back-to-back World Tour gold medals having won in Tokyo last week.
